What's Happening @ SMC?
THE CLEANING TEAM MINISTRY is looking for new volunteers. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a behind the scenes ministry where you can make a big difference by helping to make our church attractive to newcomers. Please contact Jeff Pitts. CHRISTIAN LEADER MAGAZINE: Stop by the Resource Center to pick up your free copy of this magazine published by the US Mennonite Brethren Church. If you’d like to receive these free in the future, please leave your name and address on the sign-up sheet located at the Resource Center. 30 HOUR FAMINE: Our official 30 hour famine for hunger in Haiti will take place on Friday, February 3rd thru Saturday, February 4th. Between now and then we will be asking you to find people who will financially sponsor you during this event. All proceeds will go towards feeding the poor on our church trip to Haiti. You can pick up collection envelopes from Laura Hulse or contact her for more information. SMC VISION DINNER will take place at SMC on Sunday, January 22nd from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Childcare will be available for ages Newborn thru Age 4. HAITI TRIP APPLICATIONS are due along with a $300 deposit by January 31st. Please make checks out to SMC and put in a separate offering envelope and indicate that it is for the Haiti trip.
